A total of 80 nalists across digital, print, lm, media and marketing were given 24 hours to ful l a brief (48 hours for lm) to produce a campaign that raisesbrand awareness and increases donations to the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI). The ve winning teams, selected by a panel of senior Australian creative and media executives, will receive return ights to Nice, accommodation and a Young Lions registration to the Cannes Festival with access to all the seminars, awards ceremonies, showcases and the Young Lions party. The 60th International Festival of Creativity is being held from June 16 to 22.News Limited's group director of sales Fiorella Di Santo said: "The level of talent demonstrated by this year's nalists made selecting winners extremely di cult." "The 80 nalists showed a high level of strategic thinking, clear innovation and relentless tenacity in their response. "Through the Cannes Young Lions competition, we're pleased to be playing a continued role in uncovering Australia's best creative and advertising professionals." MCRI Marketing and corporate partnerships manager at MCRI Fiona Gosschalk said: "We are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with these wonderfully creative minds and have them working on innovative ways to help us spread the word about the Institute's world leading child health research."
